BLOCO DO NORTE meets for a drumming workshop every Tuesday evening from 6.30pm to 7 .30pm at the Heathridge Leisure Centre, Sail Terrace, Heathridge

(Directions: Heading west along Ocean Reef Rd, half way between Freeway and Marmion, turn right into Admiral Gr, then first left (Siren Rd) and then as you turn left again into Sail Tce, the Leisure Centre is on the corner).

The workshops are FREE of charge. All instruments are provided.

The normal structure of the workshop is to commence with some light warm up stretches followed by some clapping exercises that help to get the brain organised and develops skills in maintaining rhythm and introduce new "Calls and Responses".

Then we strap on the drums, grab the tamborims, bells or chocalho’s and have some real samba fun as our Musical Director leads develops our skills and rhythms.
